ANIMAL ADVOCACY VOLUNTEER NETWORK
THE ANIMAL HOTLINE: The Animal Advocacy Volunteer Network, also known as the Animal Hotline is a one-source animal information and referral service.

While we specialize in information in the Pueblo County, Colorado area, we have also received calls from other counties throughout Colorado.

Calls to us primarily cover topics such as:

-Animal abuse and neglect
-Pet relinquishment
-Pet adoptions
-Behavior problems
-Pet grief
-Health concerns
-Lost or found animals
-Spay-neuter information
-Local animal ordinances etc..

While the majority of calls received concern cats and dogs, we also get inquiries concerning birds, squirrels,
fox, horses, rabbits, ferrets,
iguanas, etc...

We have a network of people with whom we can confer.
If we don't know the answer to a question, we will find out.
We have several experts on wildlife rehabilitation on hand, also.

We are a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization totally staffed by 15-20 volunteers.

When not available for the phone, we have 24-hours a day voice mail.

1/To promote the health,
care, and well-being of

and the human/animal bond.

3/To encourage the spaying &

with the pet over-popula-
tion problem.

4/To encourage regular use
of veterinarian care.

5/To help owners keep their
pets by assisting with
animal behavior problems.

6/To improve the conditions
of pets in general and to
save the lives of animals.

We also have 3 specialities:

their caregivers.

2/A pet registration service
for people without friends
or family to take care of
their pets should the care-
giver become disabled or
die.

3/Placing harder-to-adopt
animals, and have placed
older animals, a blind
poodle, a cat with FIP, a
pomeranian with occasional
seizures, etc...

We currently are fostering
two gorgeous main coon
siblings (very special and
sweet) who test positive for
feline leukemia and a sweet-
heart lapcat positive for FIV.

We also test and spay or neuter feral cats.
