THE ANIMAL HOTLINE: |
The Animal Advocacy Volunteer Network, also known as the Animal Hotline is a one-source animal information and referral service. While we specialize in information in the Pueblo County, Colorado area, we have also received calls from other counties throughout Colorado. Calls to us primarily cover topics such as: -Animal abuse and neglect -Pet relinquishment -Pet adoptions -Behavior problems -Pet grief -Health concerns -Lost or found animals -Spay-neuter information -Local animal ordinances etc.. While the majority of calls received concern cats and dogs, we also get inquiries concerning birds, squirrels, fox, horses, rabbits, ferrets, iguanas, etc... We have a network of people with whom we can confer. If we don't know the answer to a question, we will find out. We have several experts on wildlife rehabilitation on hand, also. We are a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization totally staffed by 15-20 volunteers. When not available for the phone, we have 24-hours a day voice mail. | ||||||||||||||||
